Tracy Morgan appeared on the Today Show this morning in his first interview since being involved in a deadly car accident last summer.
The star underwent a lengthy recovery after being rear-ended by a Walmart truck while traveling along the New Jersey turnpike last June.
Morgan, 45, suffered a broken femur, a broken nose and several broken ribs. His friend and fellow comedian James McNair was killed and two other passengers were seriously injured.
During the interview, Morgan shed light on his recovery, and talked about the recent settlement reached with Wal-Mart. He also discussed the loss of his friend.
“My goal is just to heal and get better,” Morgan said. “I’m not 100 percent. When I’m there, you’ll know it, and I’ll make you laugh. The case is settled but the pain is always going to be there for Jimmy Mack.”
