Watch: Protesters Confront Hillary Clinton

Black Lives Matter activists confronted presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton.

After being denied entrance into a New Hampshire event featuring Clinton on Aug. 11, the activists got a chance to speak with the politician up close and personal about racial issues, including police brutality.

The newly released video, obtained exclusively by MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show, shows five members of the movement grilling Clinton.

“America’s first drug is free Black labor and turning Black bodies into profit and the mass-incarceration system mirrors the prison plantation system,” said activist Julius Jones. He also pointed out that mass incarceration is a failing system, a sentiment with which Clinton agreed.

Clinton explained to the activists that she was working very hard to change “the country’s original sin.” She stated that she was trying to figure out ways to “explain and sell” change.

“If you can’t explain it and you can’t sell it, it stays on the shelf,” she said in reference to handling issues in the political arena.
