LSU’s Coleman Named SEC Player of the Week

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — LSU’s Shavon Coleman has been named Southeastern Conference Player of the Week.

Coleman, from Thibodaux, has scored in double figures each of the last four games and again came off the bench to score 14-of-his-18 points in the second half as he helped the Tigers rally from 16 points down in the second half to defeat Seton Hall, 72-67, last Thursday night in the SEC-BIG EAST Challenge.

The Tigers trailed by eight points at the half and twice trailed by 16 points, the last with 16:30 to play. LSU went to a press that caused Seton Hall multiple problems as LSU was able to outscore Seton Hall 40-19 the rest of the way.

Coleman is fifth in the SEC in scoring average, 10th in rebound average and fifth in field goal percentage.
