There was never a dull moment when Chad Johnson played in the NFL. From outlandish stunts like foot racing a thoroughbred horse to legally changing his surname to Ochocino— a Spanish reinterpretation of his jersey number— the six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver became known for his off-field antics than his on-field prowess. He entertained audiences but alienated franchises. The “Diva Receiver’s” career spiraled out of control when he left the Cincinnati Bengals for the New England Patriots, but was let go a year later when his mediocre plays ended in a Super Bowl loss. Next, the Miami Dolphins cut the Florida sensation from its squad after he was accused of head-butting his now ex-wife, Evelyn Lozada.
Know this: Johnson is down, but not out. He’s found his way back into his sport as an analyst for CBS’ Fantasy Football Today show, and he’s starring in a film next year. True to his gregarious ways, Johnson opened up to JET about his newfound ventures in football and the big screen.
What’s it like working in the fantasy world of athletics?
