The workplace is supposed to be a pleasant environment that allows you to effectively carry out your daily duties. But that’s pretty hard to do if you keep getting arrested for trespassing at your own job.
That’s exactly what’s been happening to 28-year-old Earl Sampson, according to the Miami Herald. In fact, the employee at a Miami Quickstop has been arrested 62 times by police for the same offense at the same place.
You would think the cops would recognize his face somewhere between the first and fifth arrest, right?
When his boss, Alex Saleh, noticed the continuous mishaps, he decided to set up 15 video cameras in his store. Since installing the cameras back in June 2012, he has captured more that two dozen videos that show officers stopping, questioning and searching citizens aggressively.
By the way, Saleh’s store has never even been robbed.
Now, the store owner is planning to file a lawsuit against the Miami Gardens Police Department under the claims that the officers conducted racial profiling, illegal stops and searches and other activities to cover up illegal misconduct.
