Ray Rice Suspended for Two Games for Assault Incident

Baltimore Ravens player Ray Rice will miss a few passes in the upcoming season, because the NFL has slapped him with a two-game suspension for the domestic violence incident that occurred between him and his then-fiancée Janay Palmer.

Back in February, a surveillance camera captured the running back dragging Palmer, who appeared unconscious, out of an Atlantic City, NJ casino elevator. He was accused of punching his now-wife in the face and charged with aggravated assault.

Although he pled not guilty and avoided trial by entering a pretrial intervention program, he apologized for his behavior.

In addition to the suspension, Rice will also miss two weeks’ pay and be fined an additional check.
