Trayvon Martin’s Mom Urges Repeal
In a news conference Monday, Sybrina Fulton, the mother of slain 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, urged for the repeal of the “Stand Your Ground” law. Fulton believes the law allowed George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch volunteer, to get away with the murder of her son last year.
President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met for lunch at the White House on Monday and sparked conversation about the 2016 presidential race. But the purpose of the lunch was “chiefly social,” says White House spokesman Josh Earnest. As for the meal itself, the White House chef served salad, grilled chicken and pasta jambalaya on a patio outside the Oval Office, according to AP.

Nelly Brings Kidnapping Victim On Stage
Since being rescued, the three Cleveland women who were kidnapped almost a decade ago, have been on the quiet side. Well 27-year-old Amanda Berry finally made an appearance at the RoverFest concert on Saturday, where Nelly was performing. Radio talk show host Shane French of Rover’s Morning Glory in Cleveland did an impromptu invite for the survivor weeks before the concert, but had no clue she was listening. Looks like she was because she showed up with family and came on stage to wave at the crowd after Nelly invited her up.
