200 girls and 93 women were rescued by Nigerian Troops on Tuesday.
The country’s government confirmed that none of the girls were from a group of 200 schoolgirls abducted from the northeastern village of Chibok in April 2014 thus far.
Muslim extremist group Boko Haram has claimed responsibility for the kidnappings, which led to a social media movement, #BringBackOurGirls, to rescue them.
In addition to recovering the girls and women, Nigerian troops also destroyed three terrorist camps, according to CNN.
