Marijuana Up for Danger Reclassification

The protest for marijuana freedom continues as the Food and Drug Administration reviews medical evidence surrounding the effectiveness of the cannabis plant.

This re-evaluation was called upon by the DEA in efforts to further analyze its current classification as a Schedule 1 drug—the most dangerous of all as it falls in line with heroin and LSD. A lower classification could possibly ease research efforts in to the drug and lessen fear in banks when offering financial services to state-legal marijuana businesses.

The reclassification process will undergo eight varying factors inclusive of its abuse pattern and its psychological dependence.

Despite these efforts, for those carrying the picket signs and chanting catchy lines in protest for the legalization of the ganja, still no luck. The FDA re-evaluation is not cause for legalization.
