
Florida State University’s Heisman Trophy winner, Jameis Winston’s FSU era is coming to a close and the NFL is on the horizon for his future.
Fresh off of his 21st birthday, Winston, a stand-out quarterback, announced that he will forgo his remaining eligibility at FSU and enter his name into the 2015 NFL Draft.
In a written statement released by the Legacy Agency on ESPN.com, Winston expressed, “As I embark in the next challenge of playing in the NFL, I look forward to contributing to a long line of successful alumni at the next level. I want you all to know that I will make Seminole Nation proud and continue to bring the passion and love for the game you all have seen in Doak Campbell since my first day as a ‘Nole. Thank you for making my time in Tallahassee (some) of the best years of my life.”
Winston is expected to be selected near top rank in the first round draft, scheduled to take place in Chicago on April 30th.
