One of the jurors has been replaced in the trial of a Baltimore cop charged with manslaughter in the death of a 25-year-old Black man who died while in police custody.

Baltimore Circuit Judge Barry Williams announced that juror number eight, a woman, has been excused from the trial of William Porter for a medical emergency. She has been replaced by alternate juror number one, a man.

The change comes on the sixth day of the trial of Officer William Porter, the first of six officers charged in the case to go on trial for the death of Freddie Gray.

Gray died in April after suffering a neck injury while being transported to a medical facility by police.
