Standing in front of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in St. Petersburg, Fla., orphan Davion Only, 15, made a public plea for a family.
“I’ll take anyone,” Davion said. “Old or young, dad or mom, black, white, purple. I don’t care. And I would be really appreciative. The best I could be.”
His plea for someone to “love him until he dies” sparked national attention with 10,000 requests for people asking to adopt him. Only has been in foster care his whole life and his caseworker is assured he will have a family, she told The View Monday.
A few of the families have completed studies and are currently being reviewed.
