
2016 Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton will headline the “60th Anniversary of the Montgomery Bus Boycott: National Bar Association CLE Civil Rights Commemoration Tour.”
Noted panelists for the symposium include: Rosa Parks’ Attorney Fred Gray, American Bar Association President Paulette Brown, the first Black woman to head the American Bar Association, and NBA President Benjamin L. Crump.
In their discussions, the attorneys will retrace the legal battles fought during the American Civil Rights Era.
Attendees will have a chance to tour the Rosa Parks Museum, Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church, Edmund Pettus Bridge, and other prominent landmarks from the Civil Rights era.
In honor of the 60th anniversary of the Montgomery Bus Boycott, a historical marker will also be unveiled.
The National Bar Association was founded in 1925 and is the nation’s oldest and largest national network of predominantly African-American attorneys and judges. It represents the interests of approximately 60,000 lawyers,
judges, law professors and law students.
