Aspiring rapper Joshua “JayLoud” Davis was shot and killed on Christmas Day after a dispute with several men, allegedly because he was wearing a hoodie displaying the name “Joseph ‘Lil JoJo’ Coleman.” Coleman was another aspiring rapper who was gunned down over the summer, who was involved in an ongoing feud with Chief Keef’s people, according to Hip-Hop Wired. Coleman’s mother believes that Keef paid someone to kill her son.
Hip-Hop Wired reports that Davis got into an argument with several men at around 11:30 p.m. Christmas night, on the 2000 block of West 69th Street, when one of the men pulled out a gun and opened fire. The 18-year-old was shot several times in the torso, as well as once in the ear. He was transported to Advocate Christ Hospital where he was pronounced dead one hour later.
“It was my little brother,” Davis’ older brother told local news station, Fox 32. “It was like the other half of my heart, and he gone now.”
No arrests have been made at press time.
