The family of a California woman brutally beaten beside a Los Angeles freeway is demanding answers from the California Highway Patrol.
The YouTube video of the beating went viral last week after eyewitness David Diaz posted it. “He just pounded her,” Diaz told CBS Los Angeles. The victim, Marlene Pinnock, was walking around the off-ramp before the officer in the video attempted to detain her.
Now, the victim’s family has hired attorney Caree Harper to help find answers. “He punched and pounded on her,” the victim’s daughter told the Daily Mail.
California Highway Patrol officials announced that they will be investigating the incident.
