Just one day after the resignation of University of Missouri’s President, Tim Wolfe, Black students were threatened on the college campus.
On Tuesday night, the Black Culture Center was held on lockdown following a phone threat received during a Missouri Legislative Black Caucus meeting.
Social media flooded with citizen coverage of terrified students documenting their experiences ranging from men circling their cars in pick-up trucks to groups of people screaming “White Power.”

A statement has since been released by University of Missouri’s Online Information Center, stating they have captured the suspect issuing threats on various social media platforms. The apprehended suspect is currently in custody and was said to not have been on or near campus while posting racist threats to Black students at Missouri University.
