Bill Cosby has been ordered to answer questions under oath in October connected to a lawsuit brought forth by a woman who accused him of sexually assaulting her in the 1970s when she was just 15 years old, NBC News reports.
A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge ordered the 78-year-old actor and comedian to give a deposition on Oct. 9, and his accuser Judy Huth, to give a deposition on Oct. 15.
In the civil suit filed against Cosby, Huth, 56, claims that he forced her to get drunk while she and a friend were at the Playboy Mansion in 1974, and then sexually molested her by “taking her hand in his hand and performing a sex act on himself without her consent.”
Cosby’s attorneys said the suit was an attempt to extort their client.
Cosby’s petition to review earlier rulings in the suit was rejected by the California Supreme Court. The depositions were ordered two weeks later.
Huth is one of dozens of women who have come forward to accuse Cosby of sexually assaulting them. Cosby and his legal representatives have repeated denied the allegations.
In June, the Associated Press released a 2005 deposition in which Cosby admitted to purchasing sedatives to give to women he planned to sleep with.
He has not been charged with a crime.
