Apple is one step closer to diversifying its emojis selection.
On Monday, the company released it’s second update for the latest mobile operating system, iOS 8.3, which will feature a new emojis keyboard that includes skin modifiers. By tapping and holding down any human character, users can alter the color of the image.
The changes come about four months after the Unicode Consortium, a non-profit group that oversees international coding standards, submitted a proposal for improving the variety of emoticons.
Along with 300 new characters, the revamped version will also contain icons of same sex partners and couples without children. The upgrade is expected to be available this spring.
