The world can’t get over how lit “Wild Thoughts” is and neither can I. Talk about a power collab!
Although Bryson Tiller is fairly new in comparison to his megastar counterparts, Rihanna and DJ Khaled, it’s almost like this song was made specifically for the lead singers. And the “Maria, Maria” sample originally created by Carlos Santana, couldn’t have come at a better time. Right on the precipice of Summer ’17, we can relive the days of old with a track that pretty much defined the summers of our youth.
“Maria, Maria” was a SMASH HIT. And here we are with, “another one.”
Sexy and unfiltered, the accompanying Latin-inspired video arrives as the icing on the cake, with Rih adorning high fashions reminiscent of the tracks origin while Tiller and Khaled set up shop in various places across the Miami scene.
“Wild Thoughts” is set to appear on Khaled’s upcoming album Grateful, which is out on June 23 and will feature guest appearances from Beyoncé, Drake, Jay Z, Chance the Rapper, Migos, Travis Scott, Gucci Mane, and more.
The lead single, “I’m the One,” has already gone platinum and debuted at the at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 100 chart, which featured Quavo, Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper, and Lil Wayne.
