The New York Liberty celebrated the beginning of the 2019 WNBA season with a brand new sound courtesy of Grammy-nominated rapper Rapsody.
The sport’s team took to Twitter announcing that the femcee would be featured on the team’s new anthem “Liberty Loud.”
“New Season, New Sound. Proud to announce the #NewYorkLiberty’s 2019 anthem, #LIBERTYLOUD written and performed by Grammy nominated rapper @rapsody and produced by @NottzRaw. 🗣 GET LOUD,” the Liberty wrote on Twitter.

The North Carolina native took to Instagram celebrating the new collaboration. “Excited to have created the theme song for the @nyliberty with @nottzdaruler ! Be Loud. Never let anyone dim your light. Queens of the courts! Link in bio. | Glam by @camaraaunique, she wrote.”
She followed up with a brief clip from the anthem’s video. “This ones for NYC | @nyliberty to be exact! Official team song produced by @nottzdaruler,” she shared on Instagram.
The regular season tipped off on May 24. This year’s WNBA All-Star game is slated to take place in Las Vegas on July 27.
