With the summer in full effect, we’re here for the party tunes. Which is why the promise of a new project from Lil Uzi Very can’t come at a better time. And while we’re still waiting on an official release date, SoundCloud’s most followed artist of 2016 is finally giving us a glimpse at what’s on the horizon with his LUV Is Rage 2 album.
While riding around to his own new tunes recently, Lil Uzi Vert decided to preview an unreleased song off his upcoming project during an Instagram Live broadcast. The track Uzi opted to bump in the whip is titled “Sauce It Up” and from the sound of it, this joint definitely passes the car test. “Sauce It Up” features a high-energy and potentially addictive hook where Uzi raps “Sauce it up/Do too much/Ain’t enough/Ain’t enough/Where you from/Throw it up/Going nuts/Going dumb.”
At this point it’s unclear when Lil Uzi Vert will liberate LUV is Rage 2, but now we know he’s got some heat on deck. The habitual stage diver also linked up with none other than Pharrell on Wednesday, so all signs point to something serious brewing for Uzi’s next offering.
Uzi’s latest single “XO Tour LLif3” is fast approaching platinum status. The plaque would be the third of the rapper’s young career, following the success of “Money Longer” and “You Was Right.”
