Jorja Smith’s Elegant Black & White Clip is What “Teenage Fantasy” is All About [VIDEO]

The angelic and soulful songstress Jorja Smith returns with the accompanying video for her single, “Teenage Fantasy.” Shot in Paris by Rashid Babiker, the black and white visual finds Smith aimlessly walking around an apartment as she sings, “I was told by my mother/ if I look into the future/ Do I really see this boy, that I think I’ve fallen for?”

Writing the song at just 16-years-old, the track features humming she recorded while babysitting during her adolescent years. Though the jazzy bit is reminiscent of teenage love gone tragic, her transparency is inspiring. “I was warned by my brothers to find another lover/ Stop falling for these boys who didn’t want the same as me,” she continues. “We all want a teenage fantasy/ Want it when we can’t have it/ When we got it we don’t seem to want it”

“Teenage Fantasy” follows the singer’s collaboration with Kali Uchis, on “Tyrant,” and her guest feature on Drake’s More Life.
