It seems like a match made in musical heaven. Janelle Monáe and Miguel have released the audio for their new song “Primetime” off Monáe’s sophomore album, “The Electric Lady.”
The ballad shows off Monáe’s vocal range more so than some of her more eclectic songs. “The Electric Lady” also features collaborations with Prince, Solange and Esperanza Spalding. Erykah Badu was featured on the album’s first single “Q.U.E.E.N.”
The two-disc album is expected to hit stores on September 10 and the tour begins this fall, but you can listen to “Primetime” right now:
