If there’s one thing we can learn from our generation of self-starters it’s this: It’s never too late or too early to pursue your dreams.
Jamila Woods finally released the visual for her Chance The Rapper-assisted single, “LSD.” The track appears on her HEAVN project, which dropped last June. Back in May, the talented pair decided to add some youthful Chi-Town swag to the clip by reaching out to aspiring student filmmakers from Chicago Public Schools to help create the video.
Students were required to create a treatment and the lucky winner would not only get a chance to shadow the directors and production crew but see their vision come to fruition via a “full production shoot with Jamila and Chance.” Ashley Huicochea, then a senior at Prosser Career Academy, took home the win along with six other finalists.
