Ever since DJ Khaled and Nas dropped their collaboration “Nas Album Done” last summer, we’ve been waiting for evidence of a release date for the latter’s new album. Much like the cops searching for Khaled and Esco in “It’s Secured,” we still don’t have any concrete evidence as to the album’s whereabouts. But the latest video for Khaled’s Grateful album cut isn’t a bad consolation prize while we wait.
Picking up where “On Everything” left off, DJ Khaled delivers a music video for one of the more intriguing collaborations on the tracklist in “It’s Secured” featuring Nas and Travis Scott. The heist-themed visual isn’t as action-packed as The Weeknd’s “False Alarm,” but there are still a number of highlights, including a couple of black and whites in hot pursuit of the getaway car, and a SWAT team surrounding Travis Scott as he performs the song’s braggadocious hook.
Partying through the night at a secret warehouse, Khaled and Nas manage to disappear before the law lands on their doorstep. Where did the go? And what are they gonna use the bag they secured for? Probably not to cop Air Jordans, since Khaled has his very own pair of “Grateful 3s” now.
Grateful is available now via We The Best/Epic Records. The album features contributions from Future, Rihanna, Chance The Rapper, Justin Bieber, Migos, Lil Wayne, Bryson Tiller, Jadakiss, Raekwon and many more.
