It’s that time of year again! Ford’s 11th annual Neighborhood Awards (formerly known as the Hoodie Awards) hosted by Steve Harvey is here.
On Aug. 10, some of the biggest names in Hollywood and our neighborhoods will gather under one roof to celebrate the contributions of local churches, businesses and leaders within their communities.
Harvey and other celebrity presenters will be rolling out the blue carpet at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas for 48 highly deserving nominees, all vying for the title of the “best” in their community.
The 12 Neighborhood Awards categories are: Best High School Coach, Best Nail Salon, Best School Teacher, Best Car Wash/Detail Shop, Best Church Choir, Best Soul Food, Best Barber Shop, Best High School, Best Barbecue Place, Best Beauty Salon, Best Church, and finally, the Best Community Leader who will receive a $30,000 grant for their church or non-profit organization. Meet the deserving candidates right here on the official site.
On top of the awards presentations, the night will also feature live performances by Chaka Khan, Fantasia, Jaheim and Mary Mary.
