Don’t get me wrong, I love shopping at Zara. Their blazers are chic and their handbags are fabulous.
But their latest “fashion” choice probably wasn’t the best.
The retailer is reportedly selling t-shirts that read “WHITE IS THE NEW BLACK.”
While it is understandable that the world’s largest apparel retailer didn’t mean to be offensive, we do live in a world where Iggy Azalea has been called the “savior of hip-hop.” Not to mention, other companies have come under fire for poor clothing decisions.
Was there no one on the publicity team who thought that the meaning could be terribly misinterpreted?
Apparently not.
