The BOSS Network: Walk us through your journey to success. How did you get to this point?
Zenovia Andrews: At the end of the day, it’s all about results in life. My continued journey of success has not always been easy–especially considering that I was abandoned when I was a baby by my mother. I realized at a very young age that life was going to deal me some low blows whether I liked it or not, but it was ultimately up to me to decide if I was going to lay down my rightful passage to an abundant life or fight for a luxurious life that attracted abundance and wealth!
I graduated with a business administration degree and began a 14-year career working for two of the top pharmaceutical companies in the world. Later, I got the revelation to create my own world-class organizations. Today, I provide business consultation to numerous world leaders and small business owners. My passion is to support entrepreneurs and organizations in creating effective business systems that will eliminate waste, inefficiency and frustration. For me, there truly is no hidden secret for being happy and successful, I simply choose every day to live a maxed out life and it all starts with my attitude.
TBN: How do you stay on top of your game professionally?
ZA: I read…read…read! And I also study experts and my competitors.
TBN: How do you balance your personal life with your professional?
ZA: I honestly don’t believe that it’s possible to be balanced, I simply believe in prioritizing. I am the guru of business systems and strategy – and practically it’s impossible to be balanced. You have to understand and accept that situations change, people change and you will change. Prioritizing your life allows you to focus intentionally on what matters most in regards to personally, spiritually and financially. I have this saying: “People do what they want to do.” I find that so many people have countless reasons and excuses about being out of balance in life, but at the end of the day, you are an adult who is accountable for your actions. So the sooner we stop making excuses and start prioritizing our life based on what’s important, then everyone will be happier.
TBN: What advice would you give to a budding entrepreneur or career woman?
ZA: If you have a strategy and a plan along with the mindset to “do the work,” then nothing is impossible. Understanding that where you are currently isn’t where you will always be, but “intentional preparation” will lead you to ultimate success in life. And I promise you this: no one is going to care about your business as much as you do … so stop being frustrated and stop trying to get others to be as passionate about your dream as you are.
TBN: How have you been able to sustain a successful business?
ZA: My new book, All Systems Go – A Solid Blueprint to Build Business and Maximize Cash Flow, published April 21, shows entrepreneurs how to create and use systems within their companies to rapidly increase profitability. The twin benefit of developing self-perpetuating systems is that it frees the entrepreneur from working himself or herself to death trying to get the business off the ground. I utilized these same systems within my own corporation, The MaxOUT Group, where I grew 187 percent in revenue in 11 short months after launching.
TBN: What does being a BOSS mean to you?
ZA: It’s really simple: not allowing people, things or issues to waste my time nor hinder me from being whom I was created to be! It means living a MaxedOUT Life! Being a BOSS allows me to be a global leader in my family, community and business. Being a BOSS also means that you have the perfect amount of respect for other people and yourself, the right amount of strength to handle what you need to, the right amount of drive and determination.
