Best + Worst of the Met Gala Fashion…’Cos of course!

The theme?!

Although we had some fun with the Met Gala red carpet commentary, guests of the Met Gala had some interesting takes on the theme. Thanks for always showing out, Rihanna.

Met Ball or Gala, people still dressed how they wanted.

This year the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) and the Costume Institute have chosen to honor designer Rei Kawakubo, who is the founder of the clothing brand Commes Des Garcon and Dover Street Market. This year’s Costume Institute exhibition Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between, the designer’s most valuable pieces by collection and year were showcased. For over 40 years, the 76 year old designer has created and thus contributed to the world a whole new way of looking at FORM, through a Japanese lens.

From photos, it is not hard to tell how much of an influence clothing was to Rei, she was as people  in the fashion industry would say, the designer of baubles and over exaggerated form.

And so one would think that Rei’s influence and brainchild behind DOVER STREET MARKET which is like the greatest shopping mall to ever happen to the U.K., celebs would be eager to her interpret her craft.

Nope, let me tell you. Celebs were STRUGGLLLINGGG.

This may have been Selena Gomez’s fourth MET Gala but home girl looked super plain. In fact, the majority of the celebrities looked plain, including Gisele Bundchen. Nicole Richie’s sister, Sophia Richie also was the WORST dressed celebrity. I wish she would have gotten a tailor! This isn’t Instagram where people may or may not see your entire outfit. This is the big leagues, the Super Bowl of fashion.
