Tell us your love story. Bride: We first met each other while I was selling movie tickets. I walked into his place of business and he declined. The next day Curtis saw me at his job, [attempting to sell] the same tickets, and he decided to purchase all of the tickets I had that day, giving me the rest of the day off. I had 10 tickets at $10 bucks each. In exchange, we went out for dinner for 30 days consistently.
When did you know that your partner was the one? Bride: No matter what problems would come our way, we both made sure we stuck by each other until they were resolved. We have supported each other through challenges, prayed for each other and in the end, we come out on top.
What was your most memorable moment from your wedding day? Bride: My most memorable moment at my wedding was coming down the aisle. Everyone started cheering as if [they were watching] a football game. Seeing all of our family and friends there to witness our love and union is my most memorable moment. Groom: My most memorable moment was listening to my wife read her vows. She touched my heart in the most sensitive way, and also kept it humorous. She said things that assured me that she was my gift from GOD.
What’s the key to success in your relationship? Both: The key to our success is honesty and communication. When you’re honest with each other, there won’t be any room for insecurities. When you communicate thoroughly, there’s no room for misunderstandings.
