Why I want to be a JET Beauty: When I was younger, I used to always see the JET Beauties in the magazine at my grandmother’s house and the women always displayed such extraordinary levels of Black beauty. I have always aspired to be a woman of similar character and as a volunteer case manager who is currently working to obtain my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy while working full-time, I feel as if I am becoming exactly that. I’ve worked hard to build an image that I believe would impact my community positively and being a JET Beauty would be an honor and a true testament to that hard work.
