Why I want to be a JET Beauty: Every week, my parents would leave the latest JET Magazine on the dining room table and every week, I’d check to see who the new JET Beauty was. My parents made sure I grew up reading about beautiful powerful Nubian women. Coincidentally, thoughts became things in my life and I am now one of those women—trying to make a difference in my community.
