real in our nation. And we’ve probably made little, if any progress in poverty and militarism. That’s why I believe it will take a certain kind of leadership, the type I believe the president is providing, to transform our nation.

I’ve been involved in encouraging people to vote in every election that’s occurred over the last three decades. I support President Obama because I believe he is the best candidate. I don’t think many citizens truly understand the dire straits this nation was in when he was elected. In only four years he’s successfully addressed so many issues, from the auto industry to health care.

I believe all Americans have the right to five things: a decent home, the best education, health care, a job and justice. If the people are lacking in any of these areas, our leadership isn’t actualizing the promise of America. Needless to say, prior to Obama’s election, our country was failing miserably.
