Your mind isn’t in the gutter if you giggle at the title of Melanie Fiona’s second studio album. The MF Life, due out March 20, is indeed a double entendre, she slyly confesses during a one-on-one interview at JET’s office. The Toronto-born songbird spills more about her new release, “sad singer” reputation and entrepreneurial interests outside the sound booth.
Q: So, about this album title. Not just your initials, huh?
A: The MF Life can mean whatever you want it to mean. The title is a pun. Life is filled with highs and lows. You have to pay attention to those moments. They are what define you.
