From May 14-15, Spelman College hosted its annual Leadership and Women of Color Conference at the Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta.
Spearheaded by the college’s president, Dr. Beverly Daniel Tatum, and Dr. Jane E. Smith, executive director of LEADS at Spelman, this year served as the 10th anniversary for the distinguished empowerment conference. TV veteran Shaun Robinson hosted this year’s conference.
JPC’s very own Linda Johnson Rice, chairman of Johnson Publishing Company, was honored this year with a special Legacy of Leadership Award. Ebony’s newly named editor-in-chief, Mitzi Miller, also spoke at the forum.
