Chicago city workers and Chicago Public School students took to the streets for the second time in the last month to pressure Mayor Rahm Emanuel into resigning his post after the LaQuan McDonald shooting scandal that claimed the career of former Police Superintendent Gary McCarthy.
JET’s Multimedia Producer, Chan C. Smith, was on the scene and captured photos of the protesters in action. Earlier in the day, there were other displays of outrage in different parts of the city including the Midway airport on the city’s Southwest side.
