As an entertainer who’s known for making blockbuster movies and even bigger statements, Will Smith has reached the point in his career where he’s in complete creative control. In Collateral Beauty, the actor portrays a well respected advertising executive, who, after an immense tragedy, begins to find a release through writing letters.
Who is he writing to? The three biggest entities we all face in life: love, time, and death.
No stranger to taking on complex roles, Will Smith passed this advice on to Bryshere Gray over the summer: “Will Smith told me that to embody characters you want to play, you have to take that initiative to really get to know them.” For this movie, it’s clear that Will took that advice to heart to deliver a moving story.
The film also features another rising star Jacob Latimore, who plays the role of ‘Time’.
