Jennifer Hudson is in full prep mode for her Broadway debut as Shug Avery in “The Color Purple”. The production is currently in previews, but makes its grand opening, Thursday night.
J.Hud, who is also in the film Chi-raq, made a late-night stop to ‘The Late Show’, Tuesday to spice things up and take the audience to Harpo’s Juke Joint.
Performing “Push Da Button”, a vocally sensual and aggressive number late in act one, Jennifer serves seduction as she flirts with the fellas and leads the women.
