Dwyane Wade Sells Sitcom to FOX

Miami Heat player Dwyane Wade is sharing his story of fatherhood in a new television show.

The guard sold a sitcom to FOX and the show will center around the life of an NBA star who gets full custody of his sons. Sound familiar?

The main character, Daryl, will even have the same last name as the basketball player.

Currently called Three the Hard Way, the television program is the first under Wade’s ZZ Productions, a company that bears the initials of his sons’ first names, according to the Associated Press.

While Ben Watkins has signed on as the writer, there is no word yet on who will play Wade or when the show is expected to start production. It’s also unclear if his girlfriend, Gabrielle Union, will have a role.

The plot is described as “no matter how misinformed, misguided, or unfit Team Wade may be, they have a trump card that can’t lose. It’s called love.”
