As division between police officers and community still skate upon a slippery slope, one Arkansas cop has won the hearts of the Black community and further more a support system in rapper The Game’s eldest son, Harlem.
Officer Tommy Norman, a white man who serves the African American community in North Little Rock has shown the impact cops can have when they move on the intent to connect with community, spend time with neighborhood citizens and stay true to what their blue shield stands for.
Through video captured and shared on Instagram, Officer Norman expresses his love for the public he serves.
His “good cop” behavior caught the attention of The Game’s son, Harlem following a discussion the two had about the characteristics of bad and good cops. From there Harlem dug into some research and came across Norman and started a GoFundMe page with the goal to raise $50,000 to help the officer continue his efforts within the community. Currently, the campaign has raised over $43-thousand.
