Stream: Ghostface Killah’s “Sour Soul”

One thing we love about Ghostface Killah is his knack for vivid storytelling.

“Pretty Tony” delivers bars with smooth aggression and a tone that sways the listener’s ear, reeling fans into his world and emotional experiences.

It’s raw in a calming way.

With a production assist from BadBadNotGood, Ghost’s latest project, ‘Sour Soul’ is a 12-song collaborative effort that fuses the story aesthetic with a ’60s and ’70s jazz vibe.

BadBadNotGood stated in a press release that inspiration was drawn from “the recording techniques and production of that era while eschewing sampling in favor of live instrumentation.”

Ghost rhymes his way to center stage with a few passes from Detroit artist Danny Brown, Elzhi (Detroit MC) and MF Doom.
