BET 2016 is setting the tone for a lit awards show. This year, the network is stepping out and standing firm with the tag, “We Got You.”
We have been on high alert since their Prince Tribute teaser, which strategically dropped following the Billboard Music Awards. Now, in addition to performances from the iconic Sheila E., Janelle Monae and The Roots, Stevie Wonder has been added to the stellar line up.
Yep, you weren’t alone in wondering if Mr. Wonder would make an appearance. It’s only right!
Another goodie added to the festivities is Beyoncé’s emerging singing duo, Chloe & Halle! The sisters appeared in Yoncé’s artistically created, Lemonade visual and followed up with the release of their EP, Sugar Symphony on April 29, which featured their single, “Drop.”
Performances are enough to get us tuned in, but that’s not where the party ends. Jesse Williams and Samuel L. Jackson will be honored with prestigious awards and look out for appearances by Jamie Foxx, Taraji P. Henson, Jussie Smollett and slew of others!
The party premieres Sunday, June 26. It will be hosted by dynamic duo, Tracee Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson.
