Stacey Dash is firing back at her critics after catching flak for supporting Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan during the 2012 election. The Clueless star sent a 1,344-word rant to TMZ, where she defends her support and writes about a range of topics—from her daughter to the economy to Osama Bin Laden.
“People get it wrong. My vote for Romney isn’t a vote against Obama,” she writes. “That’s not how full participants in the democratic process operate. We vote for candidates and we vote for issues.”
She goes on to explain why she believes “Romney’s business acumen is sterling” and why he would have made for a better president, in her opinion.
Despite what some people are calling questionable motives, Dash does end the letter on a positive note saying, “Although I am disappointed that Governor Romney and Congressman Ryan did not win. I am hopeful that President Obama will lead us to becoming the great UNITED STATES OF AMERICA that thrives.” (Read the full letter here.)
