Black girls aren’t the only ones that can take advantage of the magical connotation associated with their accomplishments and talents. BH Tilt and WWE just released a teaser trailer for a new film called Sleight, set to hit theaters in April 2017.
The film follows the story of a young Black boy with exceptional abilities. Jacob Latimore stars as Bo, a street magician who has to make an important decision to care for his family. After the passing of his mother, Bo is left to take care of his little sister and turns to drug dealing in Los Angeles to make sure they are safe. But Bo finds himself in trouble with his supplier, which ultimately leads to the kidnapping of his sister. The only way to get her back is to use the power of his hands and of his mind to free her from captivity.
Co-written and directed by JD Dillard, the film also stars Storm Reid, Dulé Hill, and Sasheer Zamata.
