Sister Accord Honors Women in Entertainment

This past weekend, The Sister Accord Foundation held a Leadership Tea Party and Awards ceremony honoring 10 celebrity women in the entertainment industry. Sonia Jackson Myles, founder of the non-profit organization and author of Sister Accord: 51 Ways to Love Your Sister, hosted the event in Los Angeles.

The women, including famed actresses Wendy Raquel Robinson and Elise Neal, were honored for their hard work, professional success, and leadership in the community. Dozens of young women from different high schools across the city and suburbs of Los Angeles, as well as adult women mentors, attended the star-studded event, which also included a panel discussion featuring the honorees of the evening.

The Sister Accord Foundation encourages and develops young women to become leaders in their communities while combating violence and creating positive relationships among young girls.
