RZA has been an advocate for the vegan lifestyle for quite some time now.
In 2014, the Wu-Tang Clan member starred in a public service announcement for PETA, and declared his support for animal rights and the benefits of leading a non-meat lifestyle.

For his advocacy, RZA was honored with the Humanitarian Award at PETA’s 35th anniversary, which took place at the Hollywood Palladium, Wednesday night.
After thanking PETA for the award, the entertainer noted: “It’s an award that does not aim to reflect my art—it instead reflects my heart. With the abundance of … alternatives, I don’t think it’s mandatory to kill animals in order … to thrive and survive. And, more importantly, it’s definitely not mandatory to kill each other.”
