Regina King has joined the ABC family as part of a two-year production deal with ABC Studios.
The Emmy-winning actress and American Crime co-star will develop and produce new projects under her Royal Ties production company alongside her sister Reina King, who will serve as an executive producer.
King has been producing and directing episodes of ABCs Scandal and The Catch, OWN’s Greenleaf and TNT’s Animal Kingdom, and Fox’s Pitch.
But trust, she’s not leaving her acting chops in the dust. In addition to developing new projects, King signed on to star in, Seven Seconds, an upcoming crime drama series heading to Netflix. She’s also returning for the third season of American Crime.
The multi-talented entertainer graced the EBONY team with her presence as a presenter during the 2016 Power 100 Gala. King presented Ms. Cicely Tyson with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
