The late singer Aaliyah could be getting her own MAC cosmetics line thanks to a petition that has been circulating the web.
Since it launched a week ago, the survey has garnered more than 1,000 of the desired 1,500 signatures.
According to the description on the Change.org site, supporters hope the makeup company will create a collection that will include “eye shadows, lipsticks, lip liners, lip glosses, contour & highlight, beauty powder, false lashes, eyebrow pencils that represent and are inspired by Aaliyah.”
It also states, “…we want MAC to be the first brand to reintroduce Aaliyah’s legacy to the world in a format that it has never been given before.”
The campaign, which is using the hashtag #AaliyahForMAC, could actually come to fruition. Just last month, the brand announced that it would release a limited edition collection next year in honor of the fallen Latin star Selena Quintanilla.
Plus, Missy Elliott, one of Baby Girl’s musical partners and closest friends, loves the idea. She retweeted some fan art of what a possible campaign could look like.
