Atlanta was the place to be over the weekend as the city hosted its 5th annual One MusicFest at Aaron’s Ampitheater on Saturday, Sept. 12.

The weather was beautiful allowing fashions to be unique, funky and eye-catching, while the sun played hide and seek throughout the day. JET was on the ground soaking up the music, vibing with the people and giving fans and followers a glimpse into the day via Periscope and Instagram.

The 2015 day-long event included a dope artist line-up that expanded across three stages – Zeus, Hercules and the DJ – which delivered eclectic, artsy, soul and hip-hop vibrations.

T.D.E’s first lady SZA delivered story and melody her way with “Babylon”, “Sweet November” and more. Maybach Music Group artist, Wale hit the stage smokin’ – literally and figuratively- as he amped the crowd with gems like “The Body”. He took the audience on a run when he hopped from the main stage and traveled through a massive group of fans to land atop a VIP table rapping “Pretty Girls.” It was a cool, epic moment.

Electric is only one way to describe the synergy presented when Janelle Monae and Wondaland hit the stage. Whether individually or collaboratively, the Wondaland crew produces nothing less than skilled vocals, defined style and unapologetic funk – proving that their art is creatively expressive and done with the intent to go beyond set boundaries.

A$AP Rocky had a ball on stage performing cuts from his latest project, At. Long. Last. A$AP.(A.L.L.A.H), and shared his appreciation of people rocking with him and welcoming him to One MusicFest. The Harlem-bred and stylish rapper opened up for Lauryn Hill, who hit the stage at 9:45 for a set that fused “Ms. Lauryn Hill” (Mystery of Iniquity) music with the vintage “L-Boogie” hits (Fugee-La).

The Hercules stage brought a nostalgic presence with Wu-Tang Clan members Ghostface Killah and Raekwon. The duo took true Wu fans through a brief history of their catalogue with ‘Protect Ya Neck’ and hit with mainstream smashes such as “Cherchez LaGhost.” Mimicked verses stretched across the festival grounds, as the crowd indulged in the greatness of hip-hop.
