Keegan Michael Key and Jordan Peele of Comedy Central’s Key & Peele are currently in talks to star in a remake of Police Academy.
According to Variety, New Line Cinema is considering rebooting the 1980s series with the comedic duo and original producer Paul Maslansky at the helm.
Seven Police Academy movies were released between 1984 and 1994. Michael Winslow, known as the Man of 10,000 sound effects, is one of the series most notable actors.
Key & Peele was renewed for fourth season late last year. The two recently signed on to guest star on four episodes of FX’s Fargo.
